There are so many voices saying, "Follow me" or "if you do this or have that then you will be satisfied". Even so humans have always had a hunger to find and know God. The big problem is we fail to seek him out. A lot of times people will say there is no way you can know God it's just out of our league. Still others will say "I don't want to be a part of organized religion." likely being turned off by a hypocritical type or worse.  So where do we look then, to nature, to other world religions? To our inner spiritual man? Where can we find the real God and how can we know it is true. Out of all the worlds religions, faiths and belief systems only one stands apart as the factual faith that can not only transform everyday people's lives but has the scientific archaeological evidence to back it up. That little agreement goes like this, you have pain and God will take it from you and give you peace. You have no hope in life; God will give you and eternal hope. You feel sinful or guilty, God forgives and gracefully pardons. How can we enter into this agreement? Trust. If we can trust God is good, I mean he made this whole world right? Beautiful snow covered mountains, glistening waterfalls, the stars in the sky and... you. He loves his creation and he loves you. God wants us to return that love to him. Sure he could simply come down and shake the foundations and boom out orders to us but his intension is to have people reach out their hands and heart to him willingly. That we could enter into an agreement, a bond, a friendship. God loved you so much that he came down to this earth lived a perfect life, healed the sick, fed the poor, taught the average man, he even loved us enough to tell those "self-righteous religious folks" how it is and what they were doing wrong. Then he did something that has never been done in the history of man, laid down his life on the cross for all humanity. What he did was supernaturally take on all of our sins, sorrows and all of our punishment. God poured out his wrath upon him so that we could be forgiven and accredited as being sinless just like Jesus. When we trust in Jesus Christ he actually comes in to our spirit man and begins to restore what has been decaying for years. When we make that decision to trust in him he saves us from the judgment that awaits us all. Why would God judge us if he loves us? Good question. You see God is a God of love but also of order. If we honestly look around at this world we live in and take and inventory of the atrocities of man we don't have to look far to see that man is naturally selfcentered and far from perfect. In fact the worlds biggest problems today are evident from man's self-centered approach to life. War, crime, poverty, adultery, lying, hatred, rage, s.t.d.s, starvation and just plain old sin. God is good yes, but he is also just, he must punish those who have broken his commandments. If God allowed sin into heaven it wouldn't be long before it would mirror earths problems. If we won't humble ourselves in front of God by admitting we have sinned then we are still guilty but if we soberly confess our wrongs to him he will show us mercy. Are you ready to give yourself over to Jesus Christ?   For me personally it was a big choice. I knew so many things in my life would change some of them I would miss but mostly I just wanted to be free. Free from addictions. Free from a false image I would show the world. Free from the worry and sleepless nights of anxiety. My life was transformed by turning myself over to Jesus Christ. "Here I am Lord, forgive me for my sins. I need you in my life. Save me from my sins. I love you and believe in you." The most amazing thing happened when I simply mouthed those words from my heart. In a split second the God who created me, saw my whole life, finally entered into my spirit man and made his home there. He immediately began to work on his new home. Fixing it up, cleaning things out, and making my empty shell of a soul a happy home. This is the mystery of God that he would come and live in us and partake in our lives. Seeing both the good and the bad, and never deserting his home inside of us. Some have told me that they have tried Jesus before and I know that they may mean well but they have not truly been born again. Born again is a term that Jesus used when he was explaining to a "religious man" how to gain eternal life. (read John 3) Will you make that next step now to give yourself over to the one who knows you best and has been trying to let you know that you don't have to do life on your own? You are not too bad for me, I love you and want to enter into a relationship with you a relationship without end. Jesus is calling you to know him.  Trust him and cross that spiritual bridge from death to new life with Jesus. The next steps for you my friend are start reading the Bible as soon as possible. I suggest reading in the New Testament to learn more about Jesus by reading Matthew or John, read Romans to learn more about how we should live as Christians and continue to learn the Bible as much as you can. Reading is still the best way to get the knowledge and wisdom directly from God. Now that you are a son or daughter of God the Bible will begin to really make sense to you. It will open up in new ways to you. Prayer is also key. Not a day goes by that we should not stop and pray to our God. Remember we are in a relationship with him and he wants to spend time with us. Try to set aside a certain time during your day to read and pray. This will be vital in your growing up in your faith and life. God bless you and don't ever give up on following God.
